Social Media at the ECMA’s

Being part of the Social Media world means always trying to stay on top of breaking trends.  And it isn’t easy. The social media universe changes and evolves hourly.

That’s why we are all looking forward to ECMW. Topspin will be in the house with a seminar.  We’ve always looked at their services but it’s been hard to balance the cost versus return for our artists.  Hopefully we will get more of a perspective on what they can offer indie artists.

Working it!

Oh, we are WORKING IT here!  Up to our eyeballs in analytics as I write this.  Wanted to give a big shout out to the ECMA and thank them for nominating Malkin Music / Cyber PR Music Merchant of the year – 2013.  It’s very wonderful to be recognized for the work we do behind the scene’s in an artist’ career. We love y’all!

Next Big Sound Annual Industry Report

The Next Big Sound Annual Industry Report is out!  You can take a look here – https://www.nextbigsound.com/industryreport/2012/#vevo_metrics . Biggest thing to take from this report? ” Unsigned/independent artists represent 2x market share in social (~30%) compared to sales (~15%). ”  Very interesting!

Social Media – The Voice

Mashable has posted an in-depth review of the social media engine behind The Voice. ( http://mashable.com/2012/12/18/the-voice-social-media-season-3/) I think it is a great overview of what goes into a successful media campaign on a grand lever. It’s not just jumping on from time to time, but it is creating a focused work plan and following it. Some stats on the social media behind The Voice are below.  Pretty damn impressive.
